Hello there, I am Jade, the founder of Studio 1DAM, which stands for
"1 Delightful Art Maker."
—
I chose this name because my work are delightful , not by the use of colour, but by the use of organic shape. Where the human eye questions the shape yet becomes curious, provoking the desire to touch my art.
Which I definitely promote!
I'd like to say that I'm bringing fine arts and the organic essence of Queenstown's make up together into tactile metal work.
28 years
Of art creation, study and experimenting
2 awards
Awarded for being an young emerging artist for 2 years in a row. Before Jade took a big break on her art career.
5 countries
Commissioned and exhibited around the world in over 5 different countries.
My Inspiration
1 DAM elevates the Japanese philosophy around Wabi sabi by moulding our observations and interactions with organic matter to create an experience that roots us back to natures gifts of beaty in its irregular yet perfect forms.
